Southeastern Finland University of Applied Sciences Visits Xiangshan Film and Television College to Explore New Avenues for International Collaboration

 

 
On March 7, a delegation from the International Office of Southeastern Finland University of Applied Sciences visited Xiangshan Film and Television College at our university for an exchange and discussion. The delegation was warmly received by Professor Shen Yunci, a member of the university’s Party Committee and Vice President, along with faculty representatives from Xiangshan Film and Television College.
 
 During the meeting, Professor Shen Yunci extended a heartfelt welcome to the delegation, emphasizing that animation serves as a universal cultural medium transcending language barriers. He expressed his hope that this visit would serve as a foundation for fostering resource-sharing platforms and cultivating animation professionals with a global perspective. He also provided an overview of the university’s internationalized academic programs and development goals, highlighting the potential for collaboration in areas such as joint curriculum development, faculty and student exchanges, and co-production initiatives in animation.
 
 Representatives from Southeastern Finland University of Applied Sciences praised the strong industry integration and hands-on teaching framework of the Digital Animation Department at Xiangshan Film and Television College. They noted the department’s rich educational outcomes and students’ strong creative and applied skills, envisioning promising opportunities for future collaboration in digital arts, virtual production, and related fields.
 
 Following the discussions, the delegation toured key facilities at Xiangshan Film and Television College, including the stop-motion animation laboratory, digital animation studio, and university-enterprise collaborative teaching bases. They observed the full workflow of stop-motion animation production and viewed student-created animation shorts, intellectual property derivatives, illustrations, and 3D digital assets.
 
 This visit not only deepened mutual understanding between the two institutions but also laid a solid foundation for future cooperation. Moving forward, the Digital Animation Department at Xiangshan Film and Television College will continue to advance its internationalization strategy, leveraging innovative practices to enhance talent cultivation and contribute high-quality professionals to the animation industry.
