On the afternoon of November 19, a delegation from Charles Sturt University (CSU), Australia, including Professor Mike Ferguson, Vice Chancellor and Professor Sun Jing, visited our university. The visit was attended by Member of the Municipal Education Working Committee, Deputy Director of the Municipal Education Bureau, and Party Committee Member, as well as Cai Ting, Executive Director of the Ningbo Institute of Life and Health Industry. Professor Shen Yunci, Vice President, along with faculty, students, and representatives from the Hangzhou Bay Campus, the Office of International Cooperation, and the International Education College, participated in the event. 

During the discussions, Professor Shen Yunci extended a warm welcome to Vice Chancellor Mike Ferguson and his delegation, providing an overview of the university and its achievements in international collaboration. In response, Professor Ferguson expressed gratitude for the warm reception and introduced CSU’s campus layout, academic programs, and ongoing international partnerships.

 

Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on potential areas of collaboration and reached a preliminary consensus. In his concluding remarks, Mr. Chen Jinhui expressed his hope that Charles Sturt University and our university would strengthen international cooperation and achieve fruitful results.

 

 

 

 

 

Prior to the meeting, Professor Ferguson and his delegation toured the Hangzhou Bay Campus, exploring teaching facilities and student activity areas while gaining insights into the university’s history and academic programs.

 

Moving forward, our university will work closely with Charles Sturt University to advance initiatives such as the China-Australia 2+2 program and short-term faculty and student exchange programs, providing valuable international resources to enhance the global competencies of our students and faculty.
