Representatives from Nottingham Trent University Visit Our University for Discussions and Exchange

On December 5, Dr. Aaron Bradbury from the School of Education at Nottingham Trent University (NTU), UK, together with Matthew Northall, visited our university to discuss cooperation and exchange initiatives. The delegation was also invited to participate in a Sino–UK cultural exchange activity hosted by the College of Foreign Languages. The visitors were received by Zhu Fengmei, Head of the Office of International Cooperation, and Wang Qi, Associate Dean of the College of Foreign Languages.

Our university and Nottingham Trent University officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding in October 2025. Building on this agreement, the discussions further clarified a multi-level cooperation framework, including short-term summer student exchanges, semester exchange programs, and a “2+2” dual-degree program, thereby defining clear pathways for our students to pursue studies in the UK.

Following the meeting, Dr. Aaron Bradbury and Matthew Northall delivered a presentation to faculty and students of the College of Foreign Languages, supported by multimedia materials. They introduced NTU’s campus facilities, academic resources, and student support systems, and engaged in interactive discussions on teaching approaches, classroom interaction, and faculty–student relationships. After the presentation, representatives from our university and members of the College of Foreign Languages jointly participated in a traditional Chinese herbal aromatherapy painting workshop, gaining a hands-on experience of China’s rich traditional culture.

Looking to the future, the two universities will continue to deepen cooperation in international cultural exchange and educational collaboration, injecting new momentum into enhancing our university’s internationalization and expanding the global perspectives of faculty and students.
