On October 20, a delegation from Swiss Business School (SBS), led by President Bert Wolfs, visited our university for discussions on potential academic cooperation. President Wang Haohan and Vice President Shen Yunci attended the meeting, along with representatives from the Office of International Cooperation, College of Accounting, and College of International Economics and Trade.
During the meeting, Wang Haohan extended a warm welcome to President Wolfs and the delegation and introduced our university’s development and distinctive educational features. He noted that the university places a strong emphasis on business-related disciplines and the cultivation of application-oriented talent and is currently working toward obtaining authorization to offer master’s degree programs. Recognizing SBS’s strengths in applied business education, Wang expressed the hope that the visit would provide an opportunity to explore practical cooperation in faculty and student exchanges, joint curriculum development, and other areas, gradually establishing a sustainable partnership between the two institutions.
President Wolfs thanked our university for its warm hospitality and provided an overview of SBS’s academic programs and internationalization efforts. He noted that SBS focuses on applied business and management education, supported by an international faculty and a global network of academic partners. Emphasizing the importance of cooperation with application-oriented universities in China, he expressed his willingness to advance collaboration with our university through joint curriculum development, student exchanges, and other initiatives.
The two sides held in-depth discussions on joint educational programs, student exchanges, credit recognition, and faculty research collaboration. They also exchanged views on specific arrangements for faculty and student mobility and mechanisms for joint research, reaching a preliminary consensus on several areas of cooperation.
The meeting helped clarify future directions for collaboration and identify practical steps toward implementation, laying a solid foundation for a long-term partnership between the two universities. Moving forward, both institutions will maintain close communication and steadily advance cooperative initiatives, creating new opportunities for mutually beneficial educational cooperation.
