Vice Rector of Hellenic Mediterranean University Leads Delegation to Our University

On October 23, a delegation from Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU), Greece, led by Konstantinos Petridis, Vice Rector for Internationalization and External Affairs, and Professor Irini Dimou, visited our university. President Wang Haohan met with the delegation, while representatives from the Office of International Cooperation and the Research Office attended the meeting.

During the meeting, Wang introduced our university’s educational development and international cooperation initiatives. He expressed the hope that the two universities could build on their respective academic strengths to strengthen cooperation in faculty and student exchanges, talent development, and scientific research.

Petridis provided an overview of HMU’s academic disciplines and international partnerships and expressed his willingness to establish a long-term and stable cooperative relationship with our university.

The two sides held discussions on artificial intelligence in teaching and its practical applications, dual-degree programs, faculty and student exchanges, and short-term study programs. Both universities agreed to begin with online seminars on artificial intelligence and short-term exchanges, gradually expanding cooperation to include jointly developed blended-learning courses, joint education programs, and collaborative research.

The two sides also exchanged views on follow-up arrangements, including the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), reciprocal institutional visits, and student exchange opportunities.

The visit enhanced mutual understanding between the two universities and laid a solid foundation for establishing an international cooperation platform and advancing future collaboration in teaching, research, and talent development.
